Our History
Isoprime's beginnings date back to the early 1970's. The product line constantly developed through the 80's and 90's as it changed from VG Isotopes and finally formed as the stable isotope specialist Isoprime Ltd. Throughout their 35 years there has been consistent research & development which produced a series of famous products such as the VG Sira, Prism and Optima IRMS. From this lineage, the IsoPrime100 IRMS represents the world's most advanced IRMS mass spectrometer/inlet product combination. Today hundreds of IsoPrime IRMS systems are installed worldwide.
On 4th February 2008 Isoprime Ltd was acquired by Elementar Analysensysteme GmbH as a wholly owned daughter company from GV Instruments. Elementar is the leading manufacturer of elemental analysers in the world whose success is based on more than 100 years of experience and tradition in elemental analysis. Two months later the company moved into Isoprime House, its new headquarters near Manchester airport from where we continue to develop, manufacture, sell and support the products.

Our Mission
Isoprime Ltd will maintain its own R&D team to work with the highly-qualified application scientists across the entire instrumentation and application range. We will continue to develop our product range and services to expand the potential of the IRMS application fields to the benefit of existing and
future customers.
Our Offer
A leading area of interest is the determination of bulk sample stable isotope analysis using the combination of elemental analyser and IRMS. Our elemental analysers have been specifically designed for use with IRMS through our parent company Elementar, which means that users get ultimate performance for this most popular of techniques. With the vario ISOTOPE cube EA Isoprime Ltd offer the only EA-IRMS system in the world that can analyse four isotopes (CNHS) from a single sample (patented) and with the vario PYRO cube EA, the only EA system to combine traditional Dumas combustion for NCS isotopes with high temperature pyrolisis for OH in a single instrument. Isoprime and Elementar are dedicated to revolutionising EA-IRMS to your advantage.
For compound specific analysis we have chosen to work closely with the market leader Agilent as our OEM supplier for gas chromatography separation technologies. Beyond EA- and GC-IRMS we offer a complete range of other inlet systems including head space gas, liquid chromatography and ultra-high precision of waters and carbonates using a classical dual-inlet-based approach. |

Our worldwide network of distributors is an amalgamation of a number of successful and proven former GV Instruments representatives together with the well-established and very successful Elementar distributor network. Continuity of service for our
legacy of leading IRMS systems is guaranteed by
the integration of experienced service engineers
into this network.
Isoprime House serves as our central sales and service facilities and includes modern and well-equipped application and training laboratory to support the international sales organisation. It also includes the Elementar UK branch office with facilities for applications, demonstrations and service support for the stand-alone Elementar product range.
