Applies to:

IonVantage for IsoPrime software - any version between 1.2.52 and 1.5.3

The problem will not occur in IonVantage version 1.5.4 or later.

Symptoms

On selecting Save Peak Ids or Load Peak Ids from the Peak Identification menu in the Chromatogram Plots dialog in IsoPrimeCFDP, the following dialog is displayed:

Cause

The DataGrid control used in the Peak List dialog used during the Load and Save operations uses a file that is not installed by Windows XP or IonVantage. 

The problem is not seen on all systems as the file can be installed by Microsoft Office if Visual Basic for Applications or Developer options are selected during an install.

Resolution

Download the msstdfmt.dll file attached to this Knowledgebase article into the C:\Windows\system32 folder on the failing system.

Select Run on the Windows Start menu. Type the following:

regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll

and click OK.  The following dialog should be displayed:

Peak Id file operations should now work as expected.
